Project

The purpose of this thesis investigation consists of redesigning two existing low-income rental apartment buildings by the Humber River. River House is along Dundas St. W. and Jane St. in Toronto, Ontario. The site has surrounding recreational and educational spaces. The integration of architecture and the philosophy of phenomenology is an underlying principle throughout the design. River House inspires the community to reconnect with nature through its programmatic spaces.
